By R Welch Few homes stir the typical notion of lush gardens that an English cottage house plan can invoke. English cottage house plans bring to mind storybook fantasies of roses covering a trellis and climbing on thatched roofs. However, thatched roofs aren't practical or allowed construction material in many places. But for those who think the best part of the home is the garden, an English cottage house could be a dream home. Beautiful English cottage house plans cry out for well designed landscaping plans that match the cottage feel you are trying to attain. Custom gardens designed by a professional landscaper will complete the English cottage charm. Professional landscaping plans will assure you that the garden plants are well suited to the climate and housing style. However, cost may be a stumbling block as landscapers tend to be quite expensive. Pre-designed garden plans can be adjusted for your property and this type of approach is more affordable. The downside is that pre-designed garden plans won't give you the customized look you are seeking. But, if gardening is a beloved hobby for you, then consider designing custom garden plans yourself to match your English cottage house plans. Designing your own custom garden plan would be a time consuming task, but no one else would have a garden like yours. Begin with an aerial drawing the property. Use the house placement as your starting point. Gardening magazines and books can give you lots of ideas. Study garden themes such as rock gardens, herb gardens and shade gardens. You can also research design principles such as symmetry, color and height coordination. When all is said and done, the choice is still up to you. Build your English garden to match your English cottage house plans the way you see it in your mind and the result will be perfect as long as you like what you see. 5 Tips For Choosing Gifts
By Tracy Billings We all love to receive gifts, whether it's at Christmas or birthdays, or even a special anniversary. But in order to keep getting gifts, we have to give them to others too. And happily we like that part of the bargain almost as much as the receiving bit. Here are a few tips that may help you choose the right gift for the right person. 1. To help make up your mind you can easily read reviews of gifts you are considering buying at places like Amazon.com, Buy.com, Epinions.com, BizRate.com, etc. And of course, you can even purchase from there too. 2. Price comparison for gifts is easy if you're switching between sites like Shopping.com, PriceGrabber.com and Cnet.com. The lowest gift price is out there. All you have to do is find it. 3. One problem with gifts that are wearable is getting the right size. You can overcome this by getting gift accessories, such as scarves, belts, hats, etc. 4. It's obvious, but keeping an up to date list of the birthday, anniversary, etc, dates of your friends and relatives will mean that you'll always know when it's time to buy a gift. That way, you'll probably receive more gifts too when it's your turn. 5. Always think about the recipient of the gift. Your maiden aunt is unlikely to appreciate a year's subscription to a risqu glamour magazine, and your young nephew probably doesn't really want a pair of socks. Gifts should not be just for Christmas and birthdays. There's no reason why you can't give a special gift to someone special just because you want to at any time of the year. It does wonders for a person's self esteem, and it does wonders for you too: we all really love to give. I hope you can find the time to give to someone today. About The Author

There's No Such Thing as Work-Life Balance
By Annemarie Segaric It seems everyone around me is working longer and longer hours. My husband used to have the occasional early morning conference call when he needed to be in by 7am. Now that seems to be the norm everyday. My brother is on the first train into Grand Central each day and can usually be reached at his desk by 6:15am. And a recent New York Times article talked about the increase in commuter train ridership as employees are getting to work earlier and earlier so as to be able to work with colleagues and clients in Asia who are ending their day just as some of us are waking up! So where does that leave any room for you? How can you fit in changes to your career when you can barely make it to the gym, to your child's recital, to your in-law's house for dinner, or your friend's big birthday bash. Not to mention getting some real sleep and eating a half decent meal. Well, there's a way to work things out and not feel so crazed and it doesn't mean learning how to balance everything. First, identify your priorities. According to the book, Coming Up for Air by Beth Sawi, figure out the five things that matter most to you. Your list might look like this: health, family, career fulfillment, friends, financial stability. It doesn't matter what is on your list just as long as they are truly your absolute, must-have priorities. Second, evaluate what is in your life right now and see how it matches up to your stated priorities. You'd be surprised by how much time you're spending on things, that when it comes down to it, you really don't care that much about. Let go of the guilt about what you think you should be doing and instead live in integrity and align yourself with your priorities. Finally, stay in the moment with whatever it is that you're doing at the time. If family time is one of your priorities then make sure that you're there with your family when you're physically present. Liz Lange, president of Liz Lange Maternity, says in the April/May issue of Pink Magazine, "Before I would be half playing with my kids, half checking my Blackberry. But now I'm down on the floor with them and everything works much better." Replace the word "balance" with "choice" and see that you need to choose your priorities and then choose to do those things that support your priorities. You're not supposed to balance it all. You're supposed to pick and choose and when you do, be really engaged and fully drinking in the beauty of the moment. Copyright 2006. Want to reprint this article? Absolutely. Dating Deal-Breakers -- The Insurmountable Obstacles
By Croydon Hounslow Children The issue of children can be an extremely divisive one in relationship terms; in an age where we no longer have the imperative to reproduce frantically in order to ensure the survival of the species, many people take the decision not to have children for one reason or another; others may feel that procreating is necessary in order to make their lives complete. It is easy to see how this could translate into a serious relationship mishap, a union between a person with strong instincts towards parenthood and another whose mind is made up to remain childless is unlikely to be successful in the long term. This is particularly an issue if you already have children from a previous relationship; not to say that you are doomed to single parenthood by this, but it is a fairly non-negotiable state of affairs. If your potential partner adamantly does not want children and you already have them (unless, of course, they've grown up and left home), you may find this difficult to surmount. Lying A good, solid relationship is built on a firm foundation of trust. Everyone wants their partner to be honest with them (although definitions and standards of honesty may vary), and most importantly needs to be able to put their trust in someone. If you've arranged a first date via an online dating agency or personal ad and, when you turn up to the venue you're ten years younger or twenty stone heavier than you stated in your ad or than your picture showed, then you are probably not on to a good thing. Sure, your date might be able to get over the difference of expectations, but this type of behaviour does not bode well for future of your relationship Religion Again, like the issue of children, being religious does not preclude being successful in dating, but it is another thing that can be key to the success or failure of a relationship. The first major stumbling block is that many religions require members to only marry within their own religious group, although depending on your level of orthodoxy it may be possible to overcome this and many, many couples of mixed religion have maintained highly successful relationships. Many people, however, are actively anti-religious, believing that religious teachings are a crutch for the mentally or spiritually weak, and that organised religion is responsible for a large portion of the World's ills. A person with such beliefs is unlikely to get on particularly well with a person of devout faith. Another issue could be that a non-religious (as opposed to anti-religious) person may well be nervous about getting involved with someone strongly devout for fear of being preached to or looked on as a subject for conversion. Of course, characterising these things as insurmountable obstacles is a vast generalisation, as every incurable romantic knows, true love conquers all and, in any case, couples who are serious about making a relationship work should be prepared to compromise in some things from both sides. Bearing these things in mind however, and being upfront and honest from the start about what is and isn't subject to compromise can only be a good thing in the context of a burgeoning relationship. Find The Right Online Automobile Loans
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Har_Ong]Har Ong Let us assume that you have convinced yourself that you need a new car. Let us then assume that you have gone through the magazines, asked your friends, and gathered info online to help you make a purchase. Let us also assume that you have finally found what type of car you want. After all that, you then realize you do not quite have the money to cover the cost of the new car. In such a situation, the fastest way to solve the problem would be to apply for online automobile loans. Keeping that in mind, it is then in your best interest to know how to find the right online automobile loans company for your needs. When searching for a good deal on online automobile loans, you should first take into account just how much money you can afford to pay off a vehicle loan in the long term. Loans can take years to pay off and the way that different companies lump the interest vary just as much. It is wise to take such thoughts into mind when you consider the loan. If you don't think you would be willing to pay off a loan for a certain amount of time, try and look for one that won't take that long, even if it causes a bigger hit on your bank account. Also, you might not be comfortable with paying off a large chunk of the interest at the beginning or at the end of the loan period, so be sure to avoid the organizations that do that. Speaking of interest rates, the main factor in determining what online automobile loans fit your situation would have to be the interest rates. An interest rate, which is less than usual, is ideal if you are purchasing a car that is not all that expensive, so you don't feel ripped off. However, what you should check before negotiating would be your own credit rating. It is perfectly logical for companies to quote you a higher interest rate if your credit rating is not very good. The lending organization might agree to the loan you are asking for but they may not be very comfortable about it if you do have a history of bad debts and late payments. If you have a good credit rating, the group lending you the money for your car would be much more willing to provide you with a lower interest rate, since they feel confident that you can pay their terms on time. Naturally, since you would be asking for, essentially, someone else's money, you have to provide some sort of guarantee or collateral. While risky, the most effective collateral that you can choose to offer is your home, if you happen to own one. A loan based on home equity can make almost any company that finances online automobile loans agree to lending you money, even if your credit rating is less than perfect. However, if you do not have a home or are still paying off the one you have, there are other forms of collateral that an organization will accept. You just have to make sure it is a highly valued asset, something that they would think you would not want to lose. With the aforementioned reminders, you should have no trouble finding the right company for your online automobile loans. As with anything else, just be careful and beware of something that seems too good to be true, because online, it usually is. Lenders of online automobile loans are varied and numerous, which means that each one of them will be competing with the rest for your business. That situation is a good thing because it means more options for you to choose from and, ultimately, better terms. How To Do Bonsai - 4 Keys For The Beginner To Know
By Rob Richards I remember the first time I was exposed to the beautiful artistry of Bonsai. When I was about 5
years old, I was visiting relatives at my uncles house in Tokyo, Japan. After a while, some of us
kids went out to the back "yard". In Tokyo, as in most places in Japan, land is a real premium,
so the back "yard" was really just a small rock garden. It was in that small, simple, yet beautiful
rock garde, that I saw my first bonsai tree. It was so tiny, yet proportionally perfect. I later
found out that it was more than 40 years old! I was hooked! Bonsai or the art of growing miniature trees, requires patience and know how. In this article I
will touch on 5 things that every aspiring Bonsai artist should know, in their quest to learn How To Do Bonsai. How To Do Bonsai - Key #1...Bonsai Are Not Houseplants. For the most part, bonsai are outdoor plant and should remain outdoors all year long. Of
course, that does not mean that they cannot come indoors to be enjoyed for a short while, just
that a majority of the time they need to be outside. Bonsai are temperate climate plants that
require a period of dormancy. Dormancy is a survival strategy that temperate climate species
have evolved to stay alive over the winter. These plants have an internal clock that tell them
when to slow their growth activity, so that they may survive any extreme or freezing
temperatures. For the home bonsai artist, you will need a place outside to keep your plants. How To Do Bonsai - Key #2...Bonsai Must Be Trained. Bonsai are trained to look a certain way through a number of different techniques. This can be
accomplished through manipulating the trunk and branches through pruning and wiring. This is
where the heart of the bonsai artistry resides. To make mistakes in this area of training could
lead to deadly results. Don't be disheartened though. Anyone, with some proper training
and time can learn how to properly train their bonsai. How To Do Bonsai - Key #3...Bonsai Must be Fed and Watered. Just like all other plant life, bonsai require three things to survive: sun, food and water.
Assuming your bonsai resides primarily outside, as the bonsai artist, your primary concern is to
feed and water your trees. Feeding your bonsai with the proper nutrients and trace elements is
crucial to promote proper and healthy growth. Watering improperly is probably the most
common mistake made by beginners. Again, with the proper teaching resource, whether that is
a Master Bonsai artist or a reputable how to book, anyone can easily learn how to properly
care for their bonsai. How To Do Bonsai - Key #4...Bonsai Require Time. Many first time bonsai artists think that "owning' a bonsai is what it is all about. This is not what
bonsai is all about. Bonsai is all about the enjoyment of caring for them and ultimately their
creation. Remember: bonsai truly is an art form and as such requires time to perfect. As an
aspiring bonsai artist you will need time to learn how to properly care for and train your tree,
but you must also have the time to see it come to fruition. Bonsai are not created over night. A
typical bonsai may not even be placed into a bonsai pot until after a few years of training. Don't
rush the process, enjoy it! After reading this article, I hope you have come to understand a little more of what the art of
bonsai is all about. Have fun! You can learn from the Bonsai Masters how to grow, train and care for your own bonsai art!

Moving From Online Dating To The Real World: Choosing When And Where
By Lara Lopez When is it the right time? There are no hard and fast rules about this. People have met in a matter of days after their first online contact and ended up dating for years; others have met in person after four weeks of email and phone conversations, and ended up getting married; others have taken months and months to meet in person, and broken up after having had a successful long term virtual relationship. You don't need to wait a long time; when you feel the phone and a few photos or video images have told you all you need to know about someone, you can propose meeting in person. If you keep your expectations low and have as your goal a congenial conversation over a cup of coffee, it's easier to decide on the time. You're putting less pressure on yourself and the other person, after all. You can go to a face to face meeting as a matter of course; after a few instant messages and email exchanges, you just ask someone if they want to meet at a coffee shop or at another location that is connected to a common interest. It doesn't have to be any more complicated than that. That's the informal approach, and it's one that makes sense for many people, but it may not be your cup of tea. If you only want to meet people in person if you're serious about them. You might decide it's the right time only if you experience one or more of the following signs:
You can't stop thinking about the person and looking at his or her photo.
You are considering moving to another location in order to be closer to that special someone.
You've put your match on speed dial and assigned him or her a special ring tone.
You are beginning to annoy your friends by talking incessantly about your web match.
The big barrier to meeting face to face, for women, is the question of whether you can trust the other person. If you meet in a public place, keep your meeting short and sweet, and tell someone you have to head off to another appointment at a definite time, you won't run into safety issues. You'll have some evidence on which to judge the other person, and you'll hopefully have had a nice encounter with someone that day. Where is the right place? It's hard to think of online dating as being old enough to have a tradition, but the traditional place to get face to face with someone you've gotten to know online is a coffee shop. That doesn't mean you have to meet in a coffee shop, of course. First meetings have happened in bars, bookstores, museums, miniature golf courses, and the like. The important thing, for both parties to feel at ease, is that it is in a public place. When in doubt, go for a coffee shop, which is safe, informal, and usually populated by other people. If you pick a local, out of the way coffee shop rather than Starbucks or one of the other chains, you'll be showing someone a bit of your neighborhood; you can explain why you like the atmosphere of the place or maybe talk about its history (not your history with previous dates, however) and you have a ready made icebreaker. The Internet can help in many ways with choosing a location. You can consult the online versions of local newspapers for suggestions of restaurants and cafes. Dress to Get Hired
By George F Franks III Dressing down, business casual and the like, which are sometimes described as benefits by companies, are not appropriate for job interviews. Many of the rules established nearly three decades ago in business literature still apply when it comes to interview attire. Whether what one wears to an interview should matter will not be debated here. Rather, it should be assumed by anyone interviewing for a job, whether a newly minted college graduate or a veteran to working world, proper attire still does matter for first impressions. For men, the interview outfit has changed little over the years.
Suit: Traditional navy or gray two or three button. Only button the top for two button suits or only the middle button for three button suits. 100% wool is best. Make sure it is clean and pressed. Vest are not in style currently. Shirt: white or light blue cotton. Straight or button down collar. No French cuffs (those are for the CEO and CFO to wear). Neatly pressed and clean. Tie: striped, foulard (small diamonds or squares) or small dot pattern in silk. Classic colors. Traditional patterns. Neatly tied and again, clean and not creased or wrinkled. No tie tacks or clips. Shoes: black or dark brown. Classic style with laces are best but dress slip-ons are OK. The clunky ones are for the high school and college crowd. Must be polished. Belt: leather, understated buckle, classic and leather the same color as the shoes. Socks: plain black or navy blue. Jewelry: no earrings ever, a dress watch, no more than one ring per hand on the ring finger, no lapel pins unless you are going to work at the White House then an USA flag pin is OK. No bracelets. Hair get a good haircut (not a do-it-yourself job) a week before the interview and comb your hair prior to the interview. If you have any facial hair, make certain it is trimmed and understated. Personal grooming: shower, shampoo, deodorize, no cologne, brush and floss your teeth, use mouthwash. Check yourself over in a mirror before you leave for the interview. Sources: Jos. A. Bank, Brooks Brothers, Lord & Taylor, J. Press and other classic mens clothiers. For women, the task is definitely more challenging. Fashion changes from season to season and from year to year. Again, I am going to strongly recommend the classics. Traditional cuts, colors and styles. If you think this is for the birds, you probably belong in the fashion or another creative industries or working for yourself. Suit: Jacket and skirt OR pants in black, navy or gray. 100% wool is best. Make sure they are clean and pressed. Blouse: white, ecru or pale blue. Various fabrics and classic styles are acceptable. Freshly dry cleaned. Shoes: black, navy or dark brown depending on the suit color. Classic style pumps are best but sling backs with closed toes are OK. Make sure they are not scuffed and are polished. Pantyhose or stockings: natural shade and no runs with skirts. Knee highs with no runs with pants. This applies twelve months a year. Jewelry: no more than one earring per ear, simple and traditional. A dress watch, no more than one ring per hand, a pin on the jacket can be a nice touch if not too big or too "cute". Simple bangle or link bracelets are OK. As are a fine gold necklace or classic string of pearls. No ankle jewelry and no facial piercings. Hair the less said here the better. Just make sure the hair is not distracting and the color is a natural looking one. Make-up make sure it is not distracting and looks natural. Personal grooming: shower, deodorize, brush and floss your teeth, use mouthwash. Check yourself over in the mirror before you leave for the interview. Sources: Talbots, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Lord & Taylor, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren and other stores that offer more traditional womens fashions. Will wearing and doing these things get you the job? Probably not. But they will insure that the interviewers do focus on you, your skills and how you speak and act rather than on some aspect of your attire (yes, I agree, it should not matter but the fact is that it does). I look forward to your thoughts and comments on this topic. George Franks is the founder of Franks Consulting Group a management consulting and leadership coaching practice. A Workplace Romance Can Be Detrimental to Your Career
By Ruth Houston Over 70% of single employees will become romantically involved with someone they work with at some point in their career. The workplace has become the new singles bar. The workplace has also become the number one place for cheating spouses to meet affair partners and conduct extramarital affairs. Proceed with caution if youre attracted to someone on your job and are considering engaging in a workplace romance. As tempting as it may be to date someone from work, the risks far outweigh the rewards. An office romance could cause you legal problems, public embarrassment, and could be detrimental to your career. Legal Complications If your workplace lover becomes involved in a corporate scandal, you could be named as an accomplice, or hauled into court as a government witness. Consider the examples below: U.S. District Judge Barbara Jones, the judge in the trial of ex-WorldCom chief executive Bernard J. Ebbers, ruled that star witness Scott Sullivan can be questioned about his marital infidelity because it speaks to his character for truthfulness. Book publisher Judith Regan may be forced to testify about her affair with Bernard Kerik who withdrew his name from Homeland Security nominee in the midst of numerous allegations of personal and professional improprieties. Testimony from three former mistresses helped put Nathan Chapman away for 7 years for defrauding Maryland's state pension fund system and looting his three publicly traded companies. These are just three of the recent examples of how a workplace romance can become public knowledge, much to the embarrassment of those involved. In addition, males in supervisory positions who become romantically involved with female subordinates run the risk of becoming the subject of a sexual-harassment suit if the woman later claims to have been coerced or pressured into the relationship for fear of her job. For that reason many companies now forbid romance between bosses and subordinates. Others companies require persons who are romantically involved to sign consensual relationship agreements also known as love contracts - which state that the relationship is voluntary. Career Complications Aside from legal issues, if youre tempted to date your boss, consider the negative impact a workplace romance could have on your career. If the romance ends badly, some very unpleasant things can occur. Your ex-lover has the ability to undermine your career in ways you cant even begin to imagine. Why take a chance? Below are some of the day-to-day and long-range career complications that can result from a workplace romance: Envious co-workers may become jealous and attempt to sabotage your work. Your productivity or the productivity of those around you may suffer. You could become the subject of office gossip If your office romance results in preferential treatment with regard to work assignments, raises, promotions or company perks your co-workers will resentment you. A series of office romances will earn you a reputation as someone who tries to sleep their way to the top. You may be transferred to another department or even required to leave the company, especially if you are a woman. When an office affair becomes a problem, its usually the woman who is penalized. It could create an awkward situation when the romance ends, and the two of you still have to work together. If you end the relationship and the other person is vindictive, they can sabotage your career in ways you cant even begin to imagine. A disgruntled lover can negatively influence the kind of work assignments, raises, and opportunities for advancement you receive. Your coworkers perception of your work performance may be lowered. No matter how hard you work, there will always be speculation about whether or not your raise or your promotion was a reward for sexual favors. If youre currently involved in a workplace romance, or youre tempted to get involved in one despite the warnings, do your utmost to keep things on a professional level. There are guidelines to help you minimize any possible damage to your career. Naturopathic Medicine Practices
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ryan_Fyfe] Ryan Fyfe Naturopathic medicine is a form of medicine that attempts to improve the health of an individual by applying natural remedies. It should be noted that naturopathy is at the most of times used to complement, nor supplement conventional medicine. Naturopathy was first heard talked about around 1900 by Benedict Lust. Schooled in hydrotherapy and other natural practices in Germanty, Lust was sent to the United States to share the practices in which him and his father Sebastio Kneipp has discovered. Shortly there after in 1905, Lust started and was the founder of the American School of Naturopathy in new York, which was the first naturopathic college in all of the United States. Lust has great success in the early years, however after the 1930's naturopathy medicine. went into a recession with the discovery of penicillin. With it most other natural health professions declined as well. The post war era brought about several new drugs such as antibiotics and corticosteroids which changed the way we looked at medicine. Although greatly reduced in the post war era, naturopathic medicine never completely stopped. One of the greatest modern steps back toward the practice was in 1956 when the National College of naturopathic Medicine was opened in Portland, Oregon. This school was the first modern school of the practice, and offered 4 year medical training in naturopathy, with the goal of integrating naturopthic practices back into the mainstream system. By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=James_Taylor]James Taylor Our life is too short to achieve everything but still we try to get as much as we can from this short time period. Still at certain point of time we are stopped from getting ahead, the reason being we dont have funds to accomplish our desires. Now with personal secured loans available there is no need to kill your desires. For a personal secured loan lender will ask you for some property (generally house) to get as collateral. The purpose of the collateral is to secure the amount of the loan lender. People sometimes hesitate to go for such loans as they believe that they have to loose their asset to get the loan but this is only a myth. The truth is that at the time of loan agreement only the title of the property is transferred to the lender, the possession remains with the borrower. Agile Pontoon Fishing Craft Will Get You Rocking!
By Rika Susan Fishing pontoons have had a good run since they became something of a phenomenon back in the 90's, and they're still going strong, with many excellent craft available for your still water fishing expeditions. And they don't have to cost an arm and a leg either! Even brand new you can get an excellent 8-footer with many handy features and a comfortable seat for only a couple of hundred dollars. So what's the big fuss about these agile-looking craft? Well, for a start, they are very, er... agile little fishing craft! This is largely thanks to the the particular rocker-shape of the pontoons. Other than, say catarafts, pontoon boats have less of the tube in the water per foot of tube - and therefore less resistance. Less resistance means it becomes possible to turn in very tight circles, always getting you in the best spot for the action going on below! This maneuverability also helps you to easily navigate the river runs you'll be making from hole to hole. And of course, sitting comfortably in your high seat gives you an excellent view of your surroundings and where you're heading. Where can you go in your fishing pontoon? These craft are primarily aimed at still water, inland lake and slow-moving river use. You will definitely want to avoid whitewater situations! Even the larger, more stable 12 footers are not designed with the stability needed for fast-water rafting. For that you will need to look at catarafts and the like! And when it comes to getting to the river and back, most of these craft can be loaded and transported with ease on your rooftop or in a pickup or SUV. So if you're aiming for some quiet, sit-down fishing on your own or with a buddy - and you don't want to break the bank - a fishing pontoon is definitely an option to look into! Personal Injury - How To Find A Way Out
By S. A. Baker For victims of personal injury, there is little satisfaction in knowing that they are not alone. Instead, they are faced with simple life tasks that are impossible for them to overcome. Personal injury victims often have to sift through pages and pages of information, trying to find answers to their questions. How will you work? Who will pay the bills? Who should you trust to handle your personal injury case? Often, you are full of these unanswered questions and also feelings of anger, frustration, and sadness at the life you have lost. The most powerful thing you have in your pocket if you are the victim of personal injury is knowledge. You can find quite a bit of knowledge on personal injury on the website: www.thesmartattorneys.com Personal injury is a claim that many people need to file. How do you know if a personal injury suit is right for you? The answer is simple. If you have been injured through no fault of your own, then you may have a claim to personal injury. Personal injury can include accidents in vehicles, in public places, even at work. The first step is finding a personal injury lawyer. But, knowing who to turn to is often a difficult step too. It is often advisable to speak to attorneys who deal especially in this type of claim. Injuries like these can be compensated through funds or help in rebuilding your life. But, remember that knowledge is powerful too. You need to invest the time and energy in learning about past experiences of personal injury. You need to see how cases of personal injury have been handled before. There are many places available on the internet where you can see the results of how these cases have been managed. If you feel that you have been the victim of personal injury, then you have to take the first step and find a qualified personal injury attorney to help you. Then, take the time to learn about the personal injury itself. Knowledge is always powerful and there is no exception when it comes to personal injury. Four Reasons Why Relationships Don't Last
By Tonja Weimer Do you know how to make your relationship last? Would you like to know the secrets to successful marriages? If you are searching for a relationship that goes on and on and endures throughout time, you need to consider the following points. There are four major predictors that determine which relationships will survive and which ones will not. Why Relationships Fail: Four Predictors * The power of positive versus negative comments People in failing relationships look for what is wrong with others (especially their mate) instead of what is right. During a conversation where the two people held opposing views, the ones who had a good relationship said something nice to the other one five times more than they said something critical. In relationships that don't last, the ratio of good comments versus bad ones to each other was one to one. * Accepting responsibility to be in a committed relationship When one or both people don't take responsibility for their commitment and allow themselves to be attracted to others, they are in trouble. Some people feel there is nothing wrong with a little "harmless" flirtation. On the contrary, research shows that in every close conversation, there is the possibility of secreting oxytocin (a hormonal chemical) that creates a bond. These interactions can make people feel like they are falling in love. But people can consciously choose not to cross a boundary when they feel even slightly attracted to someone else. They can change their focus. They do not have to be a victim of this attraction. *Forgiveness There is no "perfect" relationship and even the best ones will have some ups and downs, but is is how couples ride those rough times that determines if the relationship succeeds. People who are good at relating will try to repair any damage that is done in their partnership. They will offer apologies and make gestures to right what has caused hurt. * Attitude Understanding that you need to teach others how to treat you in order to get your needs met will move you from the victim column into the winning column. There are, however, some attitudes that indicate a relationship will break up. The kinds of behavior that will erode closeness are contempt, criticism, defensiveness, and stonewalling. Why relationships don't last is profound but simple. You need two people who treat each other with love, affection, respect, and support, and have a commitment to each other. You deserve a love that lasts--so think about the above. Shiatsu - Description and Benefits
By Michael Russell Shiatsu is a form of bodywork that is based in traditional Chinese medicine and the Chinese massage style called anma. However, shiatsu is actually a Japanese style. In recent years it has been adapted and modified by various practitioners to accommodate their own styles and beliefs. Some of these adaptations include macrobiotic shiatsu, barefoot shiatsu, Ohashiatsu and Zen shiatsu. The word "shiatsu" means "finger pressure". This translation describes its main technique, which involves putting pressure on specific spots on an energy channel (called a meridian in Chinese medicine) to help improve the flow of energy through that channel. But this is a very simplified explanation; the actual techniques used can include patting, shaking, pinching, rolling, vibrating, plucking and in some instances just holding an area for a time. And a shiatsu treatment can also include assisted stretching. Shiatsu as a form of Asian medicine is a holistic treatment, designed to balance all the body's systems. But in the West we tend to think more of "illness" than "wellness". Some of the problems that shiatsu can be used to treat are headaches, back pain, insomnia, constipation and many stress-related complaints. It is used with caution when the client has a more serious illness like heart disease, cancer, or osteoporosis, although it has proven to be helpful in some of these situations. It can be used to treat children, seniors and pregnant women as well (although there are areas that are avoided when working with someone who is pregnant). To receive a shiatsu treatment you lie on a futon or a mat on the floor. You will not get undressed for the treatment, but please wear loose and comfortable clothing; it will help some of the techniques - for example, stretching - go more smoothly. The points that are pressed are the same ones used in acupuncture, except that shiatsu does not use needles. The points are pressed in sequence going in one direction. As with all bodywork, the room should be quiet (except maybe for some soft music) and fairly dark; this keeps stimulation down, which makes for a more relaxing session. After the session some people feel invigorated, but most - probably because they started out stressed and "hyper" - are very relaxed and sometimes even sleepy. After the first treatment it's possible to develop symptoms of a cold (sneezing and stuffiness); this simply means that the treatment has cleared toxins and other waste materials out of the tissues and the body is healing itself in reaction to this clearing. Another "clearing" may be in the area of emotions; some people find themselves more emotional right after a shiatsu treatment. These effects are more common with the first treatment than the others; they are all temporary and usually last no more than a day or two. It is possible to feel no effect from a shiatsu treatment. People who are very "out of touch" with their bodies will probably benefit from a treatment, but they may not notice the benefits. And in people who are very obese the layers of fat may prevent the energy flow from being stimulated as well as it should be. How much benefit you get from a treatment will depend on how sensitive you are - or aren't. Sometimes the effects can be very subtle. You may realize later that the nagging soreness you had in your arm is now gone, or perhaps you are not noticing little things that normally upset you. A list of the benefits of shiatsu would include a lot of the same ones you will find in other forms of bodywork - for example, deep relaxation, stress relief, more muscular flexibility and increased energy and stamina. But because shiatsu is holistic, it balances all the body's systems - muscular, nervous, skeletal, circulatory, digestive, endocrine and others - which means its effects can be more comprehensive and can last longer. If you've thought about trying Asian medicine, but the idea of being stuck with many little needles makes you anxious, you might want to consider shiatsu. It has many of the same benefits. Brace Yourself For A Bluetooth Road Invasion
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Tom_Bailey]Tom Bailey Consumers are getting more and more technologically advanced each day. Today, there is an estimated 1,000 Bluetooth enabled products being sold at a rate of 1 million per week. These products are not only limited to phones and computers but also include cars. Acura, Audi, BMW, Chrysler, DaimlerChrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Nissan, Renault, and Toyota are providing auto customers the option of Bluetooth enabled vehicles in selected vehicle models. Bluetooth wireless technology is made compatible with parts BMW auto and other car brands in order to offer hands-free calling in motion. With Bluetooth technology around, answering calls, browsing phonebook contacts can be done using the steering wheel, radio and controls. Audio is transferred from the phone to the speaker of the car. Moreover, the driver can focus on the road and stay connected. Bluetooth is the latest wireless technology that enables connectivity between devices. This is done by using 2.4-GHz radio spectrum with a range of 10 meters. Toyota auto body parts are also tested for Bluetooth compatibility. This is to ensure the efficiency of connectivity. The key features of Bluetooth wireless technology include strength and affordability. The technology is aimed at replacing cables connecting portable or stationary devices without compromising security. However, the most outstanding feature of Bluetooth is to handle both voice and data transmissions for drivers to enjoy a wide variety of solutions like printing and fax capabilities, hands-free headset for voice calls, synchronizing PDA, laptop and mobile phone applications, and other remarkable innovations. The latest Bluetooth system can pick up the signal from the handset up to 30 feet from the vehicle. The distance tolerance is dependent on the phone and its battery level. Bluetooth got its name from Harald Bluetooth, a Viking and former King of Denmark. He is famed for his ability to help people be in touch. Another notable contribution is his effort to unite Denmark and Norway. Bluetooth has achieved high level of specification for a wide range of devices in proximity. In fact, it has achieved global acceptance in a short span of time. From its inception, the wireless technology has already gone a long way and will continue connecting people despite remoteness. With Bluetooth around, drivers can enjoy a greater sense of freedom. Tom Bailey is a consultant for one of the countrys leading auto parts stores. Can Your Belief Lead You To Weight Loss?
By Geovanni Derice Often when one thinks about faith, or belief systems they always think about one place and thats church. Now yes those who go to church have belief systems that dictate what takes place in their lives. In addition to that their belief systems dictates the type of person they are or become. When it comes to believing and having faith the big question really is to what extent does one take this. When it comes to losing weight could our belief systems actually be holding us back from achieving our personal best? If you entered the gym and said I would never lose weight do you think you could? In fact if we take it a step back, youll realize that not only would you never lose weight but honestly you would never even go to the gym. Your belief systems is more powerful than you give it credit. Let your belief systems lead you down a path of negativity and be sure that you will only get negative results. Ive met many people who go to the gym and one of the biggest things Ive seen between the haves and the have nots is the simple fact that the ones who believe that they will achieve success do and those who dont, dont. Those with positive belief systems are successful and those with negative belief systems simply arent. If you honestly enter the gym and dont believe that what youre doing is going to bring you one step closer to your goal than why do it? Why not engage in something you truly believe in. Many people think that the exercise is not working or perhaps their eating is out of wack and the honest answer to that is youre right. If what you believe leads you to that conclusion than you better believe that it will turn out that way. In order to really start taking the right steps towards achieving fitness success is to approach your workout programs, your eating programs with a new belief system. The belief systems of believing that you deserve to look and feel great and that youll participate in things that will only bring those feelings.
