By Sandra Reid Success in marriage is much more than finding the right person; it is a matter of being the right person. B.R. Brickner Whats the purpose of the wedding you want to create? Unless youre clear about it, the journey toward being married could be bumpy at best. Its easy to get caught up in a tension-fraught illusion. Brides can be dragged along by a concept that isnt even theirs. Thats why its important to go over these questions and feel what your particular purpose around your wedding is Is it a sacred event? If so, are their religious rules and expectations that have to be met? Make your minister or priest your friend! He or she is a great resource. Chances are they have already performed a lot of marriage ceremonies. Ask them what they have seen and how it went. Ask for their opinion. These days, even the most religious weddings have some room for personalized vows or a chance to influence the order of the service, the wording, the music, etc. Make sure your clergy person knows about all of the changes you want to make and is willing to support those changes. Some denominations require pre-marital counseling. Some churches will only allow people of their congregation to use the church or synagogue for a wedding. Some churches do not allow a priest to perform weddings outside of the church itself. These are important things to consider before you get your heart set on a certain location. Perhaps you regard your wedding as a sacred event, but you dont fall into any particular religious category. There are numerous sources for spiritual language to incorporate into your wedding ceremony. You may want to examine the traditions of faiths around the world and incorporate some of those elements into your ceremony. You may want to write your entire ceremony yourselves. However, someone has to conduct the ceremony and sign the official documents that your state requires in order for your marriage to be legal. Make sure you find an officiant who has legal standing in your community, and who is comfortable with what you want at your wedding. Is it a casual/informal house or outdoor wedding? Inform the guests ahead of time to any dress rules or particular circumstances that may apply at these weddings. Is it a social affair? Who are you trying to impress? Are you trying to measure up to someone elses wedding? Are you trying to copy something you saw in a magazine somewhere? Are you trying to reflect a feeling? If so, whats that feeling? Are you trying to have the biggest, best, most interesting, most creative, most something anyone has ever seen? Why? Do you think you have to do your wedding a particular way? Have you looked up the etiquette books enough to know that there are endless possibilities for how a wedding is done? - from extremely simple, to extraordinarily complex. Those are some of the reasons for a wedding. What are yours? Take a few moments and write down some key words for yourself. Just jot down whatever comes into your mind as you ask yourself: What is my wedding really about? What do I want to experience on that day? What do I want my groom to experience? These are important questions. And, maybe you can come up with some moretake the time to lay your foundation for your wonderful and loving wedding! The key is to be who you are, accept who you are, and plan a wedding that shows that to the world. Sandra has dressed hundreds of brides in beautiful wedding gowns for many years and now works as a financial, life and wedding coach. Discover How Metal Detect For Treasure During Winter-The Right Way
By J C Christian Winter Metal Detecting Winter is here and with it you can expect some rain or snow. You and your favorite metal detector are anxious for the snow and the ice to melt to give way to sunlight and extraordinary weather that's fit for your favorite pastime. But in most parts of the country there is still some time to wait. As a result you can still go metal detecting in the showers. Here are some tips about how you can do exactly that, and be effective in the process. When metal detecting in the rain your metal detector will need protection. You should also acquire a commercial meter rain-cover. This is to insure that your metal detector won't get drenched from the rain. Now and again, however, the problem with commercial rain-covers is that they tend to get damp from inside, so it is tough to comprehend the meter. It is also an additional outlay, clearly. So if you do not desire to shell out money to obtain a commercial meter rain-cover you can opt to use traditional plastic grocery bags. It may not be as safe and will not allow the exact protection as a commercial rain-cover, but it's satisfactory enough to let you go on with your metal detecting even in the shower. As greatly as you need protection from the rain for your metal detector, you also need protection from the cold wind and the rain showers yourself. Purchase a wetsuit which will keep you from getting drenched, helping you stay balmy and cozy. It is also standard to bring a raincoat other than your wetsuit, to maintain the nip from the cold from penetrating - especially when it is blustery. With regard to metal detector headphones, waterproof headphones are superior, but standard headphones work as sufficiently. The best thing about going on metal detecting trips in the rain is that ordinary metal detecting hot spots are by and large vacant during a rainstorm shower. You will have the entire space all to yourself, minus the curious tourists and other metal detecting enthusiasts. Also, because the earth is wet during the rain, the metal detector is capable to pick up on signals in deeper targets, permitting you to dig in deeper holes. So don't let a little rain keep you from the chance to discover valuable finds with your metal detector, because metal detecting in the rain is totally possible, and can be really fun too! J C Christian is an avid follower of metal detectors and how they work. He runs an informational site that follows Garret Metal Detectors, Fisher Metal Detectors, Tesoro Metal Detectors, and Kellyco Metal Detectors just to name a few. One Simple Technique to Make Your Event Special
By Ryan J. Bell As the landscape in the conferences, seminars and meetings industry becomes more crowded and more competitive event planners are looking for more ways to make their event a unique experience for their attendees, vendors and other participants. I'd like to share one tip with you that will help make your event one to remember: Look beyond your event, to where your attendees are coming from. The case with business travel is that often when you invite someone to join you at your event there is someone else they are leaving behind: a spouse or significant other. In many cases, the content at your event which your attendee finds so captivating won't necessarily be as interesting to their partner (opposites attract, right?). So why not compensate their partner for the time you're "borrowing" your attendee?
With an online registration system that includes simple shopping cart functionality, this is an easy-to-implement detail which makes a huge impression. As your attendee is registering for your event, present them with the option to send something home to whoever they'll be away from. A few suggestions are:
A bottle of wine
A gift basket (food and snacks or a "spa-pack" are great choices)
A choice of DVD titles with popcorn included
Be creative! What would you like to do if you had a few days to yourself? Give your attendees several options so that they can tailor their gift to what their partner likes to do. Another great idea is to allow registrants to add a personalized note to the gift, or provide them with some pre-made options: "Missing you," is a simple phrase that can work wonders. Making it easy for your attendees to do something good for themselves and those they love is a great way to make your event memorable. When your attendees return home, travel-weary and overloaded with information, to a welcome reception from an ecstatic loved-one they'll remember your event as one that makes their lives easier: giving them more information, with less impact on their lives. Ryan is a member of the marketing team for RegOnline, a producer of easy-to-use conference registration forms software, and a company dedicated to making event planners' lives easier. Does Criticizing Israel Make a Person Anti-Jewish?
By Aidan Maconachy Joe Lanzman has a quiz on the web site Slate (Feb 2 - 2007) to determine if you're anti-semitic. The quiz appears to have been prompted by a study for the American Jewish Committee written by professor Alvin Rosenfeld which points to an increase in "virulent anti-Zionism in many quarters of the left". Some Jews believe that if you are critical of Israel and/or anti-Zionist, you are also anti-Jewish by extension. Well by that measure some orthodox Jews could be included in this category, because a percentage of them are anti-Zionist and in some cases reject the concept of a state. The state of Israel came about after decades of extreme hardship and persecution. Jews of the diaspora were victimized when they were minorities in European countries in the earlier part of the 20th century. The holocaust shamed our common humanity. However this is 2007, and Israel is a powerful state with advanced weapons systems. As a democracy Israel has also taken on the obligation to uphold civil rights. Since it is situated in a flash point area of the Middle East it will of course be subject to intense scrutiny, in part because wars in the Middle East impact on all of us. How does criticism of the democracy of Israel makes a person anti-Jewish? Not every citizen of Israel is Jewish. About one fifth of the population of Israel is Arab, mainly Muslim. There is a small Christian minority. In addition a percentage of Israeli Jews are non-religious and secular in lifestyle, many of them European immigrants. There is also a significant number of orthodox who don't share the Zionist vision. Some American Zionists assume that due to Israel's unique relationship with the US, the military and political challenges it faces etc, allies should turn a blind eye to problems in the name of solidarity. In other words human rights issues and other problems shouldn't be criticized too loudly because such criticism may mark you as a bigot and anti- Jewish. When activists speak about human rights abuses in Israel, they are doing nothing differently from what they do elsewhere. Amnesty International has reports on human rights violations from every corner of the world. So why is it that when similar human rights issues are addressed in the context of Israel, with some justification, there are those in the Jewish community cry anti-semitism? When a country declares itself to be a democracy and signs international agreements, it also assumes responsibilities and liabilities, especially in the area of civil rights. Ongoing conflict and war is no solution to the problems of the region. It's a lose, lose scenario. With the weaponry that is now coming into play it will amount to reciprocal destruction in the end. Israel must defend its territory as any other nation must, but it should strive equally strongly to address internal issues that will help to boost its credibility in the region and abroad. Criticism of Israel on the part of allies should be regarded as a positive, not as a negative. As long as Israel presents itself to the world as democratic, it better prepare to be judged as harshly as America has been judged under George Bush - if and when such criticisms are warranted. A common question among friends these days is whether or not singles should try to meet their ideal partner through online dating. Many people wish that we could go back to the times before online dating was available. This isn't the time for modesty; if you think you're pretty darn attractive, then be sure to say so. While few dating sites claim that they've run background checks, they do often verify addresses and other information. Some dating websites are very thorough, and ask lots of questions before they attempt to match you to an online dating partner. There are some online dating sites that do compatibility testing and personality profiling. If you're considering joining an online dating service, check out the membership requirements first. Being successful in online dating is the same as being successful in traditional dating - be as courteous to your date as you, yourself, wish to be treated. Many of the better dating sites, include some advanced personality matching. The Internet has lowered the cost of running a dating service, and that means agency dating has been opened up to a much wider audience. One of the nicest features of online dating is the ability to work on your membership in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Online dating has come a long way, and many singles have benefited. How to End Your Fear of Approaching Women
By Tyler Moss It's funny how we guys hate the idea of approaching a woman. If you think about, most of us will do things in our life that are much more dangerous then simply approach a woman. Things like sky diving or even driving a car can be dangerous. The big question is "What can I do about it?" Let's see what we can do.
Focus On Her Fears Instead Of Yours The biggest problem with fears is that we always focus on our own. This is the part that really gets to us. Just by taking one quick glance at a beautiful woman are minds will try and protect us from the fear of approaching her. - She is really hot - She is too hot for me - She probably has a boyfriend - She won't like me - I'm not good enough for her - She is probably really mean - I'm not her type And on and on it goes. You answered all these questions yourself and you haven't even spoken to her yet. These are your beliefs and they are true because you believe in them. It doesn't mean she believes in them, but she will once she meets you. She can't help not believe these things, because she will be able to tell that you don't think your good enough for her. So here is what I like to do instead. I like to focus on her fears. You have to remember that under all that beauty is a real woman with real problems. She has fears too. What are they? - She fears guys wanting to use her for sex - She fears that a guy might try and rape her - She fears that a guy wont be able to look past her looks to see who she really is - She is afraid of growing old and lonely - She is afraid she will never meet a guy who can make her feel good about herself - She feels stressed because she thinks that if she doesn't look good no one will like her. Just like you she probably has many more fears. The next time you see a beautiful woman I want you to stop and think about her fears. What scares her and what does she ache for? This will put you in a much better state of mind then the nervous wreck you have been in. Tyler Moss is what he calls a "charming man". He teaches men how to meet, attract, and flirt with women. Smile! God Loves You!
By Dave McKay There is a greater sin than not obeying Jesus; it is the sin of
not believing that he loves you. When you believe another person has your best interests at
heart, you can accept great difficulties on behalf of that
person. People will actually pay doctors to literally rip their
insides out, because they trust their good intentions. When Jesus asks you to do something difficult, he's testing
your faith in his love and goodness. Very few are willing to live by faith in obedience to Jesus.
After all, he asks us to give up our career, family,
possessions, and reputation. But he does so because he has something better to give
you. We tried it and it's true. Like the merchant man who sold all he had to get the most
perfect pearl in the world, we are no longer concerned about
what we paid for it, because we now know what a bargain
we have received. It has been argued that God "in his mercy" does not expect
us to take the teachings of Jesus literally. The assumption,
of course, is that the teachings of Christ contradict Gods
mercy. But we have discovered that the teachings of Jesus are
expressions of his mercy. In accepting Jesus, we have not
just accepted a name and a ticket to heaven, but we have
accepted his whole plan of salvation; and it starts right now. While you cling to your mediocrity, your respectability, your
image of balance and moderation, you will never experience
this world of faith and love. Let go of your lukewarm religious
counterfeits and begin to believe that God really does love
you... infinitely... in every word that Jesus spoke. You cannot say, "I believe you love me, and as an
expression of that faith, I will reject your discipline." This is
not faith. It's a slap in the face of a loving God. But if we will
accept God's call, letting our lives be moulded according to
his will, everything will work together for our good. (Romans
8:28) The religious world is full of people trying to conduct their
own operations. They refuse to put themselves totally in the
hands of the Master Surgeon. They fear losing identity,

slowly losing their souls! Dave McKay is co-founder of the Jesus Christian community

Secured Loans,Terms and Tips
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Luke_Ashworth]Luke Ashworth Often, people wonder about the meaning of common terms used in relation to secured loans. These terms are often used casually, as if everyone already knows what they mean. However, many people find loan terms confusing, and negotiating the loan application process without complete understanding can be quite intimidating and even more frustrating. Read on to learn the meaning of some important secured loan terms. As you search for a secured loan, you're sure to find much information about interest and interest rates. So what is interest? Simply put, interest is the amount you pay in excess of the amount you borrow, to allow the lender to make a profit from lending you money. Basically, interest is the amount you pay to receive the loan and capital is the amount you actually borrow. The interest rate is the percentage you actually pay in interest. This means if you have, for example, a six percent interest rate, you pay an additional six percent on top of the amount you borrowed. Interest rates vary, depending on national and local rates, as well as a variety of other factors. No discussion of secured loans is complete unless it includes collateral as a topic. Collateral is property of value that is offered to a lender as a guarantee of repayment of the loan. This is the major difference between secured and unsecured loans. Secured loans are often offered at lower interest rates, because lenders have the security of knowing they can sell the property you provided as collateral if you default on your loan. Secured Loan Tips Secured loans offer a great way to borrow the money you need and pay it back over a longer period of time than is normally allowed with unsecured loans. Secured loans are easier to obtain, especially for those with damaged credit, as long as the borrower can offer sufficient collateral. Furthermore, secured loans are often obtainable at competitive interest rates. When you're shopping for a secured loan, it pays to look for a loan with flexible repayment terms. Look for a loan that offers perks, like payment holidays. Payment holidays allow you to temporarily stop making payments for a specific amount of time. Also, look for a loan that won't cause you to be penalized if you choose to pay off your loan balance early. Be sure to read the fine print before you sign any loan document. Doing so can save you not only money, but also headaches. Depending on your unique situation, you could borrow anything from 5,000 up to 75,000. However, some lenders may be willing to lend higher amounts. Your loan payments will be due monthly and the term of your loan will likely span between five and 20 years. The amount and term of your loan will be determined by several factors, including your credit rating, income, and employment status. Even though you might be anxious to obtain a secured loan, discipline yourself and avoid taking that very first offer. It is imperative that you take the time to shop around and compare loan quotes. Doing so is the only way to ensure that you get the best interest rate, best loan terms, and best overall secured loan deal. Who Has The Advantage The Atheist Athlete Or The Christian Athlete
By Lance Winslow Perhaps you have gone to sports competitions and watched people pray before a game or a one-on-one event such as boxing, karate, track and field or wrestling? Does the person who prays to their God have a better chance of winning? What if the athlete is an atheist and they only believe in them selves as they have no God. Rather they rely on their training, attitude and strength of character all from within. Amongst those two types of athletes who has the advantage? Or are they both tapping into something called the human spirit and calling upon their inner will and human intent. In my life I have never been much of a religious fellow and I have competed against religious people who would sit down and pray before a race and I always won and I thought to myself apparently their God was not strong enough to allow them to beat me. I realize this may bother some people and they do not wish to look at the psychology of sports and human sports competition, nevertheless I bring this subject up because it is quite fascinating. Did the Christian athlete who prayed to their God not believe they were worthy of winning or did they have guilt and did not believe they were up to it? Did the Christian athlete have doubt? Why couldn't they win? After all if God is on their side giving them the strength to beat me then should they have beaten me? But they didn't and they couldn't and well, why is that? Interesting subject isn't it? Perhaps you might consider all this in 2006. "Lance Winslow" - Online Think Tank forum board. Divorce & Alimony-Understanding The Different Types Of Support Awards
By Andrew Daigle By definition, alimony is a specific amount of money ordered by a court to be paid by one spouse to the other. The term of payments can either be limited or indefinite and, traditionally, was designed to be paid by the husband to the wife. Historically, men were expected to support their families while women became homemakers. Today, everything has changed. With women now being a staple in the workforce, the courts have employed a new alimony-award system. Alimony, often referred to as maintenance, can now be granted to either spouse and is largely based on economic need. Whether you are seeking or being pursued for alimony, it is important to understand the different types and what they mean to you. Permanent alimony, which does still exist, is typically granted only if the awarded spouse is unlikely to gain employment in the future. Temporary alimony, on the other hand, is granted on the basis that the receiving spouse simply needs help in maintaining a certain quality of life throughout the divorce process. One example would be a marriage separation where one spouse immediately vacates the household and leaves the other to pay the mortgage and all other household expenses. In this case, a temporary alimony award may be granted, during the course of a marriage separation, in an effort to allow the receiving spouse to get back on his/her feet financially prior to the actual divorce being finalized. Rehabilitative alimony is considered to be a short-term support award and can range anywhere from several months to a few years. This type of support is not permanent, but rather is designed to help the receiving spouse rehabilitate' themselves into the workforce so that he/she can earn a living through gainful employment. This type of alimony is common if the spouse is temporarily unemployed, but is later expected to return to the workforce. If you are currently dealing with alimony, as either the provider or recipient, a professional divorce attorney specializing in this area can offer powerful divorce advice. Finding the right divorce lawyer will involve discussing your case and the financial issues surrounding your case. When it comes to alimony, the court's main focus is one spouse's ability to pay the other. If a situation arises where one spouse is unable to afford payments, he/she must be able to provide proof to the divorce court through a full disclosure of finances. Divorce lawyers are essential in providing advice on divorce and how current divorce laws may affect your case. In some instances, couples can reach an agreement on alimony through divorce mediation. During this process, a neutral third-party will work with the couple to reach an amicable arrangement in all aspects of a divorce proceeding without a lengthy litigation. As a final thought to alimony, it is important to realize that no two divorce cases are alike. If you want to find the best divorce lawyer for your individual needs, take the time to speak with several divorce attorneys in your area who specialize in the dissolution of marriage. Even if you plan to proceed with divorce mediation, having a divorce lawyer may help to protect your rights. When it comes to needing valuable divorce advice on important financial matters, hiring a qualified divorce attorney may be money well-spent. The information contained in this article is designed to be used for reference purposes only. Coin Collecting Have Some Fun! Build a Lincoln Cent Set For Under $1
By John P. Shields Why do you collect coins? Are you a casual hobbyist or a serious collector? Once in awhile, I have to ask myself just as a reminder. My great uncle gave me a Morgan dollar when I was a kid. Sadly I lost or misplaced it years ago but that was my start. Over the years, I picked up Whitman folders and filled in the slots. I had no plan, objective and really no idea where I was going with this. But I did collect a lot of coins. In the mid-1990s I started buying coins for friends during holidays, birthdays and the like. When this buying and selling grew into a business, there was no time for the hobby. Sure, my personal collection grew but it became more of a numbers game and less of something I enjoyed. Once in awhile I would receive a want-list or special request to fill. I found having to hunt down an elusive piece could become a quest in itself. And that was fun but only for the moment. All that changed when I was asked how long it would take to assemble a circulated set of Lincoln pennies from 1959 to 2000 and only the p & d mints. The request came from a 10-year boy who had a curious interest in coins. Only 84 pieces and the first 10 or so I found in my pocket change. Should be easy, right? The are millions of pennies in circulation. Cant give them away, right? Within the first two weeks, I had acquired all but 22 pieces. When I would be out shopping or stopping at a convenience store, I would ask for a roll or two of pennies. My check-off list of wanted coins was shrinking but I wasnt pleased with the grades of these coins. Surely, a 1995-d could be found that didnt look like it had been run over by a train (only 6.5 billion minted). And the coins I found so far were not the best of grades. I became determined to find a better grade for each. After the 6 weeks, I realized this collection was far from complete. I still had 6 pieces to find and at least 11 to upgrade with better pieces. Each roll of unopened pennies was an unexpected treasure of itself. Sometimes a roll would yield nothing I could use but each and every piece would be examined under a loupe. Usually though, a piece or two would catch my eye. As a coin circulates over time, the plating fades or tones. The patina can add wonderful eye appeal to the coin. For the hobbyist, an attractive coin is worth keeping. That value cant be measured in dollars and sense. Many have been set aside for my personal collection. They just look nice. Finally after almost 3 months, the set of Lincolns was complete. The final grade was fine to almost uncirculated. Some of the older dates were actually in better grades and appearance than others. No, I didnt count how many rolls of cents I opened. Remember it takes time to sort each roll and examining each piece. Looking back, Im surprised it didnt take me longer. Along the way, I did find numerous others interesting coins. Many Canadian cents, a few steel cents mixed in with various wheat ears and several s mints. The most interesting is a 1910 in poor condition. Did I mention all the pennies with errors that I am now collecting? Came from the same roll of cents, too. You just never know what lies inside a roll of coins. It doesnt take a rocket scientist or tons of money to start coin collecting. Just a curious interest and fifty cents to begin. John P. Shields is a coin collecter and hobbyist. As owner of The Coin Box, his interest in coin collecting extends to that of the hobby and those who make it possible. Viewing Simple Reminders
By C. Dakota Creation or Evolution? A question posed by many and only leads to ones personal beliefs. While evolution was posed as a theory and is accepted by faith, it has never been proven or supported by facts hence the missing link or should I say links. Creation on the other hand is not viewed as a theory but tied to religion and is accepted on faith based on the bible. Look around, what do you see? Many of us will see a thousand different things if we look hard enough. Take a walk outside and list all the different things you encounter. Now ponder the things we dont see, such as bacteria, germs, viruses, proteins, atoms, and molecules. What about a strand of DNA? There are thousand upon thousands of things that make up our world and universe. How can every thing we see and know of today have come from a big rock? What was the first organism? How many mutations had to occur for the world to be what it is today? Acceptance that there is a higher power (God) controlling the universe is the difference between those who believe in creation and those who believe in evolution. Another difference is how the two sides perceive life. While evolutionists walk around wondering how to link everything together, the creationist is enjoying the beauty of the world in which we live. As one who believes in creation and the Creator, I see reminders of his marvelous work all day, every day. For example: The sun rises and sets and races to rise again the next day
A rainbow in the sky, a sign of one of Gods promises
Yard work, yes, yard work. If Adam and Eve had not sinned in the garden, we would not have to work pulling weeds
The wind, we can not see it but we know it is there
The clouds and rain I can go on and on with reminders. The world we live in is self-sustaining; it has every thing we need to survive here and more. What are the odds of this happening by evolution? Try this. Take ten quarters and stack them in your hand. Now, throw them into the air and see if they land in a stack in the same order as you had them in your hand. You say it is impossible. Actually it is not but your odds are next to nothing. The same is true with evolution. At least with the quarters all ten were in your hand to begin with, where as in evolution there was nothing really when it began. If you dont believe that I can do the quarter trick why would you believe that everything evolved for a single organism that was on a rock millions or billions of years ago. I choose to walk around viewing simple reminders rather than asking how it happened. C. Dakota is associated with NarrowisthePath.com. C. Top 10 Most Popular Theme Party Ideas For Adults
By Dee Schrock Who said theme parties are just for kids? I've picked out the most popular party themes for adults, sure to bring out the "kid" in you. If you are looking to host a party that is sure to go over well, check out the tried-and-true party ideas below. Hawaiian Luau Party Welcome each guest with an "aloha" and a kiss on the cheek. Hand a lei to all guests, and a silk flower for the women to put in their hair. Think balmy and exotic! Bright and colorful is sure to set a tropical ambiance. The best drinks include Margaritas, Mai Tais, Pina Coladas, Bahama Mamas, and Frozen Daiquiris. Be sure to have Hawaiian punch on hand for the non-alcoholic set as well as water for all. Be sure to have a limbo contest to see "how low can you go" and a hula contest for great fun. Wine Tasting Party A wine tasting party doesn't have to be reserved for the well-versed wine connoisseur. Get your friends together for an informal potluck party, with each guest bringing his/her favorite wine. Food should be simple appetizers as well as cheese and bread. Provide index cards for guests to rate their favorites. Bunco Party Theme Bunco is a great game is rapidly taking over in our living rooms. It's not your grandmother's canasta game!
Bunco allows for regular get-togethers with family, friends, and neighbors as you can meet on a monthly basis, while rotating hosts. It's fast paced and gets you mixing with all players (usually 12) as you rotate from table to table. Fortune Telling Theme I see a fun theme party in your future... A gypsy type garb is perfect for a fortune telling party. Complete your outfit with scarves, lots of bangle type bracelets, and hoop earrings. Have a least one table with a crystal ball. If you can't find one, you can always use a large snow globe of some kind. Other great games include a Ouija board and Magic Eight ball. Mexican Fiesta Go "South of the border" for a festive theme party. Great decorations include inflatable cactus, chili peppers, boots, and sombreros. The signature drinks for a fiesta party are margaritas and Corona beer. Be sure to play plenty of fiesta music as you shake your maracas! Casino/Las Vegas Night The central theme is friendly gambling- either for prizes or just for fun. The most popular games tend to be blackjack and poker. For the non-gambling type, include simple games like bingo and other popular card games. Give each guest poker chips, play money, and dice when they arrive. Great decorations include hanging fuzzy dice and lots of black and red balloons. For a Las Vegas style nightlife effect, add plenty of glow products. Decade Party (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s) Decade theme parties are extremely popular and can be also be used for themed birthday parties as well. Guests have lots of fun dressing in outfits from their high school and college days. Flowered pants, peace signs, and John Lennon glasses are great for a 60's theme. Bell-bottom Levi's or Wranglers are great for that 70's party- or go all out with your leisure suit. Punk wigs, mezpahs, and jelly bracelets are great for a retro 80's look. Dinner Party There are many options for putting together a great dinner party. Depending on your own style, the dinner party can range from casual and entertaining, to gourmet and polished. The three most popular types of dinner parties tend to be dessert, cocktail, or international food themed. For a more casual party, use a potluck style. Guest can bring along a dish of their choice. This can be a full course American meal or international cuisine. You can choose to be dessert or cocktail party specific. Magic Theme Party Planning a magic party doesn't have to be "tricky" after all. Go all out with your black top hat and magic wand as you get your guests to learn simple card tricks. Tricks can range from easy to more special effects. Great decorations include hanging black top hats and lots of black and red balloons. For a magical effect, add plenty of glow products. Western Theme Party Think rustic and hearty! Old lanterns, jugs, and bales of hay make great decorations. You can also use kerosene lamps and washtubs as accents. A game of horseshoes next to a roaring bonfire is a great activity for socializing. Sing-along western songs can liven up the bunch, and karaoke takes cowboy tunes to a new dimension. Games to play can include competitions in roping, or using a lasso to catch an object. I hope these ideas helped spark some ideas for your upcoming theme party. Have a sensational celebration! Holiday Dating: Don't Be Frosty The Snowman
By Tonja Weimer Would you like to be dating during the holidays? Like Frosty the Snowman, do you live without hugs, watch people at play all around you, and stand alone when everyone else goes home at night? Worst of all, do you worry that you will melt and disappear at the first sign of warmth? The good news is that even if you are alone, you do not have to act like Frosty. In fact, the holidays are a perfect time to step out of your usual habits, haunts, and hide-a-ways and meet someone. Snowmen obviously do not have the choices that you do. So forget the Frosty routine of being stuck in the same place, doing the same things, getting the same results. Let go of your attitude that there is nowhere to go, no one to meet, and nothing you can do about it. Its not your appearance of an icy statue that needs melting, its your frozen outlook, cold and indifferent to what your soul longs for. Lets get your Frosty self ready for love. Follow these steps: *Ask yourself if you are ready to meet someone. Do you find yourself talking about your EX, complaining about your boss, or haunted by a relationship that went sour? The people who have the least chance of meeting someone and having it last longer than a cold winter are those with BAGGAGE. Baggage can weigh you down so you need to unburden yourself. Resolve old issues from the past. Apologize or write a letter or make a call, but start taking responsible actions to let go of it. People will abandon their relationship with you if they have to spend more than 15% of their time working on your past problems. *Address the practical points of your life. These are the everyday demands on your time, energy, money, and spirit. Do you need a reliable babysitter for your children? Or a caretaker for an elderly parent? Or do you need new tires on your car or a new roof on your house or your hot water heater fixed? What practical issue holds you back because you havent taken time or thought to handle it? Clean up some of the nagging details of your life and watch your Frosty legs start moving. *Spin straw into gold. You heard me. Take everything about yourself and spiff it up. Hair, clothes, shoes, posture, and facial expressions (smile!) all determine if someone finds you attractive. Snowmen are cold and un-huggable, they wear funny clothes, and they are immobile, unable to reach out to others. But you have a power greater than that found in Frostys hatnot only can you dance, you can change your appearance, your actions, and your destiny. *Practice being friendly. Go to a mall, gym, museum, or a public library and smile at people. Make eye contact and then get close enough to ask them a question. If they are friendly, stay and talk. If this is hard for you to do, then practice it over and over until you can talk to strangers. Under your snowy exterior is a real live you that people could warm to if you gave them a chance. *Move. Make plans to go out and get out. Talk to your friends or to people at work. See if you can get invited to one of their get- togethers. This season, go to every party and social function you can find! Holidays are opportune times to ask people if they know someone for you. Over 45 % of people meet through friends and family. *Have fun. Once you have dealt with the above, then relax. Surrender to the moment, knowing you have done everything you could humanly do to get to where you are. This may be the season for Frosty the Snowman, but you dont have to be him. You can spend your holidays being warm, expressive, and very very real. You dont have to be stuck in one place like Frosty you can be moving and dancing and getting out and about. This is the time to be bold, present, and most of all, extending yourself to everyone you meet. Because, this is YOUR season. Happy Holidays. Lemon Law Attorneys
By Damian Sofsian Nowadays, you do not need to be stuck with a newly purchased car that has recurring problems. Almost every state has approved some type of lemon law, protecting you as a consumer from defective products. Even if you only suspect that the vehicle youve purchased could be defective, it is best that you hire an attorney to represent you. Hiring a lawyer who specializes in lemon laws during the initial stages of the problem could help you save more in the long run. These lawyers are trained to help you determine if the vehicle you purchased can be classified as a lemon or not. Technically, your newly purchased car is only considered a lemon if you have given proper attention to all of its problems, if all efforts to fix these problems have been exhausted, and if the manufacturer has been given the opportunity to try and fix the problem but cannot. You need to wait for a specified period of time and if after that period of time the problem still persists, then your lawyer can advise you to push through with your case. There are times when even if your case does not fall under the lemon law, your lawyer will be able to help you receive proper compensation by filing for a breach of warranty. Although this alternative may not garner you as much compensation as a lemon law case, you have a greater chance of success and will likely receive more than the amount stated in the warranty. Lemon Laws provides detailed information on Automobile Lemon Laws, Boat Lemon Laws, Computer Lemon Laws, Lemon Law Attorneys and more. Lemon Laws is affiliated with California Boat Lemon Law. What Should We Pray?
By Darlene Bishop Prayer is an important aspect of our Christian faith. That's probably why there are hundreds - or thousands! - of books and articles on the subject of prayer. Many of them address the issue of HOW to pray without covering WHAT to pray... what to say when you pray.
As a pastor, it's sad to say that my own prayers bore me at times. My lack of imagination causes me to pray the same things over and over...
"Lord... meet their needs. Draw them to you. Forgive them. Open their eyes. Heal them. Touch them."
While the desire is to see God work - and that's a good thing - there are times when I yearn for more creative, original thoughts when praying.
Here are three things that I've "borrowed" from others whose prayers have touched my heart and reached into my soul. Perhaps they'll help you as much as they've helped me.
Pray the Scriptures.
There are many beautiful passages in the Scriptures that truly draw our hearts toward God. The Psalms, being poetry and songs, especially seem to invite us to let the words become our own.
Psalm 100 has always been a favorite of mine, perhaps because it was one of the few I memorized as a child. But Psalm 51, Psalm 37 and Psalm 24 have also meant a lot to me in times of need and I have prayed them often.
When looking for other passages, the books of Isaiah, Joshua and John come to mind as offering a number of sample prayers. Then there's the well-known "Prayer of Jabez" (1 Chronicles 4:9-10) and of course, Psalm 23 and the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-12) which are classics.
Pray a song.
There are many wonderful hymns that are actually prayers. Select your favorites and sing or recite them to the Lord. But don't neglect newer numbers. Many contemporary songs offer amazing, creative approaches for communing with God.
Bob Carlisle, best known for his hit, "Butterfly Kisses," has recorded several songs that I've personally used as prayers many times. His songs "Use Me" and "Chance I Have to Take" from his debut album had more to do with me accepting God's call to full-time ministry than anything else in my life at the time. The lyrics of these two songs became, literally, the cries of my heart. And God heard those cries and called me to full-time service for Him.
Be careful what you pray for.
Read the prayers of others.
Books of Christian poetry often contain prayers. Or you can visit some wonderful Websites with prayers and poems to help you creatively draw near the Father.
While I'm not a member of the Roman Catholic church, I thoroughly enjoy the idea of praying the Apostles' Creed as many Catholics do. Then there is always the "Serenity Prayer." You can also visit the following Websites for ideas or search Google for "sample prayers" for many other options.
http://sub.namb.net/helplink/pry-smpl.asp
http://www.prayernetworks.net/resources/samples/
http://www.retirementwithapurpose.com/prayer_samples
http://www.secretsofsuccess.com/resources/sample_prayers.html
There are many other options for praying, including memorized prayers, silent meditations and simple conversations with God. While prayer doesn't have to contain flowery phrases or uniquely imaginative words, it does help us to put some thought into our prayers so they don't become simply "sounding brass" or "clanging cymbals" in the ears of our Lord.

Then there is always the "Serenity Prayer." You can also visit the following Websites for ideas or search Google for "sample prayers" for many other options.

http://www.prayernetworks.net/resources/samples/
http://www.retirementwithapurpose.com/prayer_samples
http://www.secretsofsuccess.com/resources/sample_prayers.html
There are many other options for praying, including memorized prayers, silent meditations and simple conversations with God. While prayer doesn't have to contain flowery phrases or uniquely imaginative words, it does help us to put some thought into our prayers so they don't become simply "sounding brass" or "clanging cymbals" in the ears of our Lord.

Gastric Bypass: The Easy Way Out of Fat Land - Right?
By Kaye Bailey If you listen, even for a moment, to the talk in overweight communities you will almost always hear that gastric bypass weight loss surgery is the easy way out of Fat Land. People with weak spirits and good insurance get a lucky break, have their stomachs whacked and stapled and lose weight the easy way. Weight Loss Surgery: seen by pious public to be surgical baptism for the guilty gluttonous slothful. But those of us who step in the water to be cleansed of our fatty sins know better. Weight loss surgery is NOT the easy way out, a simple dunking of the repentant, the sins atoned, and the price paid, the soul and body healed. We know the atonement is paid every day for the rest of our lives when we set our healthy house in order with gastric bypass. We understand that WLS is not easy. Why, then, does the public think its redemption to weight loss? First: what the public sees is a rapidly diminishing person recently repaired by gastric bypass. The pounds melt away seemingly in a plain sight. What hides behind the curtain are the ugly demons. Dumping? We dont talk about it. Vomiting? We dont tell our regurgitating stories. Head games driving you insane? Who you going to tell? Who is listening? Exercising? Nobody wants to hear about the E word. So what the public sees front and center stage is a person consistently succeeding at massive weight loss; a person glowing in their own rebirth and betraying the fat and hopeless around them. How else can it be explained? WLS must be the magic pill, the easy-way-out of obesity hell. Second: the WLS grass-roots public relations machine tells the public gastric bypass is easy, thus we become our own worst enemy. Tell me if this doesnt sound familiar: I can still eat the same things, just less of them! ha ha ha! or how about, I lost 145 pounds and never had to do a moments exercise WLS is fabulous that way no exercise required. And so the popular belief perpetuates that fat glutton slobs can lose weight just by eating less of the same foods and never exercising. Brilliant! How easy is that? Let me tell you what weight loss surgery is really like for me. I am six years post-op. Two nights ago I vomited my dinner (bacon-seared sea scallops and green beans) because it was just a bit too greasy for my sensitive stomach. A week before that I became deathly ill, its called dumping, from snacking mindlessly on Chinese chow mein noodles. Disorientation, hot sweats and then cold chills dumping a dire consequence of eating the wrong foods with the malabsorptive system. This morning, just like most mornings, I walked two brisk miles on the treadmill to begin my day. This evening I spent 25 minutes strength training to maintain my muscle tone, keep my metabolism running high and making damn sure I dont regain one single pound. And this is how it will be for the rest of my life. I will vomit, dump, exercise and be vigilant day in and day out if I want this easy weight loss surgery to work for me. My body does not take weekends off from weight loss surgery. I dont get chocolate cake just because its my birthday. I do not have a double-cheeseburger with fries and a shake just because Ive had a stressful day and I deserve it. My body is on the gastric-bypass plan 24-7. Do you think thats easy? Weight Loss Surgery post-ops understand what Im talking about. Many of us go through a phase of fighting the gastric bypass and engage in snacking or grazing. We out-eat the stomach pouch and regain weight and we become self-loathing. We vomit and dump and do it all over again thinking we can somehow trick the body. Eventually we learn and we get it: WLS is for life. Weight loss surgery pre-op patients want badly to understand this, but the dieting culture has taught us to be strict for X-number days and then we get a free day. The culture has taught us if we can stick to a plan for X-weeks and lose X-pounds then we can get back to normal. We are all expert dieters by the time we elect to have gastric bypass surgery. There is no back to normal after WLS it is a lifetime lifestyle commitment. Memorialize Your Loved One With A Cremation Urn
By Jim Johnson It is a fact of life that all of us will lose someone that we care about in death at some point, and although we may not be able to be with them any longer, it's a widely accepted part of the grieving process to memorialize them in a fitting way. There are many ways that this can be done today and the funeral industry has a wide variety of products that can help dignify the occasion. However, one of the most time-honored and ancient of burial customs is that of cremation. The practice of cremation was the most predominat means of corpse disposal until the advent of Christianity in the Roman Empire. There were several reasons why cremation was popular among ancient cultures, and one was that fire was considered a purifying agent that would release the spirit of the deceased in the proper way and allow for a safe journey to their next life. Of course, besides the philosophical or religious properties of cremation, the health benefits of the practice was never in doubt. Disposal of the body in this way eliminated the possiblility of disease being spread by decay. Therefore the practice of cremation has become more and more accepted in Western cultures as cities have grown larger and cemetaries have become more crowded. Cremation in the modern era involves the use of high levels of heat that reduce the body of the deceased to ashes. The ashes can then be spread without causing any health problem to others. However, increasingly many people today are returning to the ancient practice of storing the ashes in a funerary urn instead. In such a container the ashes can be kept and memorialized by their loved ones, or it can also serve as a fitting receptacle for burial as well. Cremation urns are available in many different configurations and price levels, and they need not simply be a utilitarian object. In fact, some urns can be very decorative and attractive in appearance. So if you wish to memorialize a loved one in a dignified way, be sure to consider a crematory urn as another way to honor and remember them. Jim Johnson writes on many consumer related topics. You can find out more about urns for cremation by visiting our All About Urns website. Cell Phone Plans 101
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Hanoa]Joseph Hanoa People can have cell phone service with or without a service plan. Most people sign up with a carrier for a certain level of service for which they pay a monthly fee. This package includes certain features, depending on the service level in the contract. They are then locked into this contract for a year or more, and have to pay the monthly fee whether or not they use the minutes or features. Most new customers receive a free or discounted price phone when they sign up with a carrier which is why many end up with complicated phones and features they will never use. Once they sign the contract they are obligated for a year or more. If they break the contract, they incur a penalty. Some of these penalties can be hefty. Many people object to this kind of contract. If they still want to use a cell phone, they can buy a pre-paid cell phone. In this situation they buy the number of minutes that they want and prepay the amount. Depending on the carrier, they can prepay for thirty to one thousand minutes of phone time. Sometimes this comes in the form of a phone card that specifies the number of minutes on it. When they deplete the number of minutes that they have purchased, the phone just stops working. If the user wants to keep using a prepaid phone, they have to buy more minutes or another phone card. If they dont want to keep using prepaid service, they can throw out the phone since it wont work without the prepaid minutes. Prepaid phone service is becoming so popular that many cellular carriers are beginning to offer the service. The advantage of the prepaid cellular phone is there is no contract for a year that results in a penalty if you cancel. With most prepaid plans the user can stop using it by not buying more minutes when his run out. He pays no penalty for not renewing and does not pay monthly service charges for features he does not use. This is one of the reasons for the popularity of these plans. Because of prepaid cell phones it is possible for people to have cell phone usage without a contract with a carrier and monthly bills. The prepaid charges are higher than the regular carrier contract charges, but for many people it is worth it. Alli Fat Binder: Have Your Fat and Eat It Too?
By Danna Schneider Well, er, I think that's what I meant to say. My girlfriends and I must have had the "wouldn't it be great if you could just take a pill and eat whatever you want to stay thin?" conversation about a hundred times when I was younger and consumed with being ultra fit and thin. Well, now it seems this "miracle pill" we had all hoped for may be closer to a reality. News has abounded lately with the buzz about a new OTC (over the counter) diet pill offering which is a weaker form of a prescription weight loss aid called Orlistat. This watered down version of Orlistat has been newly dubbed "alli" instead of its current shelf moniker "Xenical", the manufacturing company says, to convey the idea that this pill is your weight loss buddy and you and the pill together can work to lose the weight you're looking to shed. Orlistat and its kid sister alli's function in the body is to flush about 25% of the dietary fat you consume from your body through your bowel movements by binding itself to the fat and carrying it out of the body when waste is eliminated. This has been estimated by the drug's maker to translate into roughly a 150-200 calorie savings at each meal. Quite impressive, isn't it? However, any time you hear the word flush or expel through bowel movements, this makes most people think of one thing. How is taking this pill with your meals going to affect your bowel movements, and are you going to be in any discomfort or pain from the inevitably more frequent cleansing of the digestive tract? Well, alli must be taken with every meal in order to be effective and to ensure the proper absorption and subsequent expulsion of the excess dietary fat in the food consumed. About one half of the patients who participated in the studies did experience gastrointestinal side effects - or discomfort, bloating, diarrhea and/or gas, in other words. And "alli" is not something to be taken if you don't plan on cutting down calories and fat in your diet either. Apparently gastrointestinal side effects can be minimized by following a reduced calorie and reduced fat diet. Presumably this is because the less fat and calories you consume (fat is extremely calorie-dense), the less you will have to "flush" out of your system, and hence less gastrointestinal discomfort will be experienced. Indications for alli are also that the diet pill is only intended for use by those eighteen and older, and it is not recommended for individuals who have had organ transplants, as the diet aid could potentially have harmful drug interactions. The estimated monthly cost for the alli diet pill is reportedly currently between sixty and one hundred dollars. Danna Schneider is the cofounder of Diet Pill Reviews , where you can find information on weightloss products, fitness equipment and diet reviews, and dieting tips for losing weight. She also founded Dieting and Weightloss News, a site dedicated to the latest offerings and breakthroughs in weight loss and fitness, updated constantly. Revision Rhinoplasty
By Dr. Roy Amir Rhinoplasty patients often wish to improve upon the results of surgery done elsewhere. Reasons for dissatisfaction range from assymetries and undercorrection of previous deformity to poorly planned procedures with overcorrection and associated nasal obstruction. Revision rhinoplasty is widely considered one the more complex procedures in plastic surgery, and requires careful planning and realistic objectives. The procedure may involve grafting of cartilage or other materials to restructure and strengthen the nose, as well as improve breathing. A key first step with revision rhinoplasty patients is to identify the problems. Usually, patients point out the obvious concerns: a persistent hump, a scooped out bridge or "saddle-nose" deformity, an overly wide tip, etc. Other problems require a careful physical examination and may include alar retraction, persistent deviated septum, nasal valve collapse, scar tissue, etc. Once the patient's concerns are identified, along with other issues that may require correction, a realistic surgical plan is formulated. The patient must understand that with each surgical procedure scar tissue is created, and scar tissue makes results of further surgery more difficult to predict. Nevertheless, many patients are excellent candidates for revision rhinoplasty, as long as their expectations are in sync with what is surgically feasible. Revision rhinoplasty may require more operating time than primary rhinoplasty, as the dissection and sculpting need to be meticulous. Grafting is often used to rebuild the nasal bridge or add strength to the nose. Cartilage from the nasal septum may be used, but if this is not sufficient ear cartilage can be used with minimal scarring and no change to the appearance of the ear. Occasionally, artificial dermis may be added to thicken nasal skin that has retracted from previous surgery. Relationship Leper
By Laura McDonald I was married the first time (ominous words...the first time) for 16 years. In retrospect, that marriage probably could have been saved if we'd utilized counseling and found some great relationship material which may have been published at the time. Ah well, hindsight. During my dating stint post-divorce, some of which was internet contact, I communicated with an interesting and attractive man. Sooner than later, I learned that he'd been married, and divorced, 5 times. Warning, warning. DANGER, flailing my arms around in robotic pantomime. I ended that direction in short order. Obviously he wasn't good relationship material. I married again. That relationship of 6 years ended with his drug usage and an affair. Sometimes I can be surprisingly dumb for as smart as I am? HE only had one divorce behind him. Maybe I should have asked Mr. Fiver different questions. Third marriage. And to my horror, THIRD DIVORCE. I felt shellshocked. And terribly embarrassed. Memories of my fast judgement of Mr. Fiver came flooding back to me, how quickly I'd axed him without giving him a chance. With three divorces under my belt, I quailed at the thought of being similarly, and immediately, axed without a chance to prove my good character and relationship-worthiness. How terribly unfair that would be. Although I take at least half the responsibility of my first divorce, nos. 2 and 3 were more the other's fault by a landslide. (We'll ignore the fact that I did waltz myself into those relationships, shall we? That's a topic for a different article!) I had mental images of "go-see's" in front of potential dates. "I've been divorced three times," I imagined myself declaring, and then coughing up their dust as they ran for the hills. Frankly, I wouldn't have blamed them. Now perhaps I just hadn't quite hit the buzzer mark for interested suitors. Or perhaps there was something they saw in me that made them decide to explore further upon hearing those dreaded words - I spilled them as quickly as I could reasonably bring it up in a conversation: HiMyNameIsLauraI'veBeenDivorcedThreeTimesAndYou? Ahem. Whatever it was, I found that no one screamed "Exit, stage left!" and left me standing next to a little poof of smoke. Maybe they were shellshocked too, and unable to move? Actually, they asked pertinent questions regarding my divorces and listened to my explanations. I was very upfront with them concerning what I felt my part was in the marriage demises, minus the ad nauseum. I also shared in a general way what I had learned. Dating excursions thus continued for awhile, with me feeling comfortable that I wasn't dismissed as a relationship leper! Ever feel like you're a relationship leper? Have you learned from past mistakes and able to articulate your past in a way that doesn't frighten prospective dates? Currently, my (third) ex-husband and I have reconciled, and we had our divorce annulled. It's as if we were never divorced. I am very happy that we've resolved the problems that led up to our divorce...and relieved that my score card dropped back to 3-2. Upon that realization came the next one: time to retire my score card. Laura McDonald lives in Frankfort, KY, with her husband Patrick. She is a paralegal. Essential Oils Today
By Paulette Gehrke Essential oils have been around for thousands of years and have been used in cooking, cosmetics, healing and religious ceremonies and continue to be used throughout the world today. Scientist over the years have analyzed and tested the therapeutic benefits of essential oils and there are many books written about the therapeutic benefits as well. It is known that essential oils contain vitamins, hormones, plant estrogen along with natural antiseptics and antibiotics and may contain the life force of the plant itself. Essential oil or plant essence is the extracted liquid from the plant; stems, leaves, flowers, roots, bark and seeds. This liquid may be extracted by using different methods. Steam distillation uses low heat for long periods of time and may produce the best quality essential oil. Plants or parts of the plant are placed in or over a kettle of water and the steam is collected. Only steam distilled plant essences can be called "essential oils". Other methods include absolutes; which is extracted by using a solvent, cold pressed; just like it sounds the plant is pressed by machine to extract the liquids, hydro-diffusion; is very similar to steam distilled however in this method the steam is forced from the top of the plant rather than from the bottom. This method is best suited for very leafy herbs and produces essential oils that are very close to what is found in the plant itself. Essential oils may be used to reduce stress, by using the correct plant essence the effects on the central nervous system can be a gentle and effective way to change mood and/or stress level. One of many essential oils used to reduce stress is lavender (lavendula Angustifolia, lavendula officinalis) this oil is known as a great stress reliever and "The Universal" oil. It is "baby-safe" and may be used directly on the skin to treat wounds. The oil is known as a natural sleep inducer and makes a great insect repellent as well. So a couple drops under your pillow will ensure a bug free good-nights sleep. Neroli (citrus aurantium), is yet another essential oil that may be used for nervous tension, insomnia and stress-related illness as it has a very positive and calming influence over our nervous system. Preventative healthcare is yet another benefit from essential oils. They are a natural way to strengthen our physical, mental and spiritual beings. Essential oils work by supporting our entire body and boosting our immune system. Tea Tree (melaleuca alternifolia) essential oil for example is used for many health benefits; its actions are used as an anti-septic, anti-viral and fungicidal among many other uses. It helps to combat acne, athlete's foot, warts and helps to heal wounds from insect bites or other infected sores. There are many other essential oils beneficial for use in healthcare. Geranium (pelargonium graveolens), rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis)and peppermint (mentha piperita) just to name a few, each specializing in their own unique properties. Aroma therapy is not an instant cure, you may also need to consult with your own doctor to be sure there are no contradictions with your medications. Essential oils are a part of holistic health that help to support the body and may be used in harmony with allopathic medicine. Inhalation or breathing in the essential oil is one way to obtain its benefits. The beneficial properties from the plant travel directly to our limbic system, this is the area which controls our basic needs and emotions. This connection is instantaneous and the effect is already at work before we have a conscious thought about what we are smelling. The central nervous system reacts on reflex and is responding before you can say the name of the oils that you are smelling. Topical application such as in soaps, lotions or body oils, are absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream where the oils are brought to the part of the body that is needing support. The beautiful thing about using topical applications, now you are not only breathing in the essential oil to your limbic system you are absorbing the essential oil into your bloodstream as well. Essential oil safety is very important. In Aroma therapy remember that less is more. It takes 30 roses to make one drop of rose oil!!! Essential oils should not be taken internally. They can cause damage to the mucus membranes in the digestive system. Essential oils are very concentrated and are 40 times stronger than the dried herb. Oils should always be diluted when applied to the skin, the only exceptions are lavender and tea tree oils. Before using any new oils on your skin you should always do a skin patch test on the back of your wrist to check for sensitivity to the oil. When in doubt with any oils, research or ask a qualified aroma therapist for information. Essential oils used properly are very safe and enjoyable and can bring balance and harmony into your life. Check out some Aroma therapy soaps at Natural Earth Essentials. Natural Earth Essentials started out by my passion for growing herbs and using those herbs in natural handcrafted products. Products that are safe for humans and safe for the planet as well. Whenever possible I use herbs that I have wildcrafted from my own beautiful gardens, otherwise I buy from very trusted sources. I started out making my handcrafted soaps and handing them out to family & friends to test. Miraculously they kept coming back for more. I love creating new soaps and can't wait to slice that soap brick to see what my soaps will look & smell like. Over time I have created a wonderful recipe that has proven to be a luxurious, moisturizing, gentle bar of soap full of beneficial natural glycerin and this I bring to you. http://www.neesoaps.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Paulette_Gehrke http://EzineArticles.com/?Essential-Oils-Today&id=325183 phentermine no prescription canada

Worst Foods For Weight Loss
By Michael Russell So you decided that you want to lose weight, you already know that you need to cut down on your calories by doing exercise or lowering the amount of food you eat, but what you should know is that it's your diet that's going to decide if you're going to lose weight. There are certain types of foods that are filled with sugar and fat that have zero nutritional value and are just empty calories. Here are the foods you should always avoid if your goal is weight loss. White bread - most people can't imagine eating their breakfast without their toast, their hamburgers without their buns or simply wrapping their chicken in a white bread pita. What they don't know is unlike whole grain breads; white breads have been stripped of their nutritional value. Not only that, but because of heavy processing, white bread is equivalent to table sugar: it has a very high glycemic index close to glucose. Table sugar - not only the table sugar you use to sweeten your morning coffee, but all candy, chocolate, soda and other sweets included. Table sugar, which is actually a 50/50 mix of fructose and glucose, has zero nutritional value and just a bunch of empty calories which will increase your blood glucose levels and force the body to release large amounts of insulin. Not to mention all the damage it can cause to the body. Fried foods - all fried are bad for weight loss. First of all, they're mostly fat because of all the oil, which is mostly saturated and trans fat and they're high in calories. Second, because of the extreme heat when frying, it destroys EFA's (essential fatty acids) which are fatty acids that the body can't produce on its own and actually help with weight loss. Doughnuts and other pastries - Imagine a bagel made up of white flour, deep fried and added with sugary toppings; that's how bad doughnuts are. Doughnuts are very calorie dense, high in saturated/trans fats and have a lot of sugar in them which is the complete opposite of what you want in a food when your goal is weight loss. Ice cream - much like doughnuts, these are also very bad for you, but they can actually be worse because of the fact that they're extremely calorie dense. One cup of regular vanilla ice, which is a small serving for most people, has over 360 calories and half of those calories come from fat that are mostly saturated. The more tasty ice cream flavors contain a lot more calories, so you won't realize it but the time you finish your "little" snack, you'd have consumed close to 1000 calories. Bacon, sausage - even though people have made this a standard feature for their usual breakfast, they fail to realize is that almost all the calories in these types of foods come from fat. You can still eat these foods from time to time as long as it is not a big part of your diet and that you watch your serving size. But for everyone who wants optimal results, it is always best not to include these types of foods. Michael Russell

A Natural Body Detox Can Dramatically Improve Your Health
By Annika Rockwell Detoxification therapy is a completely natural and necessary process to get you healthy and feeling your best! If youve never done an official detox program, you are long overdue for a cleansing experience that will renew your energy, reduce food cravings, improve your metabolism, give you radiant skin, better your sleep, and strengthen your immune system. What is detoxification? Detoxification is the process of either clearing toxins from the body or neutralizing them. There are several organs involved in cleansing your system: The colon, liver, gallbladder, lungs, kidneys, bladder, blood, and skin. Each one needs to be stimulated to clean out clogged tissues and suffocated cells from the cumulative damage of alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, prescription drugs, sugar, pollution, chemicals and hormones in our food. Why detox? The primary cause of disease is the accumulation of waste and toxins, which are not eliminated from our body. Some symptoms of toxicity include headaches, fatigue, skin problems, frequent colds, aching joints, cravings, digestive problems, allergies, and sensitivity to smells or chemicals. Given the right herbs, nourishment, and some rest, your body has the power to heal itself and return to a renewed state, functioning more efficiently than ever before. Who should detoxify? Although everyone can benefit from a detox cleanse, those of us who are overweight, have unhealthy diets, take medications, drink alcohol, have health problems, or are exposed to chemicals in the workplace, need it more than others. I personally have a very healthy diet, drink purified water, take supplements, and exercise regularly, but the amazing benefits I get from doing a complete internal cleanse continues to convince me that all of us are suffering from the toxins around us and in our food, no matter how healthy we think we are. Even with a healthy lifestyle, the body forms mucoid plaque, a rubber-like lining throughout the walls of the intestines. This plaque is filled with toxic waste and prevents proper absorption of nutrients leading to poor digestion, skin problems, sluggish metabolisms, and headaches. During a good cleanse, this mucoid plaque is actually eliminated from the intestines and is quite visible and disgusting to see. My clients are sometimes disturbed by this event, but thereafter convinced to keep doing their complete Internal Cleansing Kit by Blessed Herbs each year with some mini detox in between. Whats the best way to get started? First, if you have any medical condition, check with your doctor to find out if doing a detox cleanse is safe for you. There are a few levels of detoxification ranging from beginner to advanced. The beginner can do a simple one or two day fast on fresh vegetable juice and water once a month, supplementing with a Toxin Absorber made of bentonite clay, apple pectin, and psyllium seed which draw out and eliminate toxins from your intestines. Those ready for an intermediate detox can do a whole body cleanse such as with the Internal Cleansing Kit by Blessed Herbs which contains herbs to targets all the bodys organs of elimination and lasts for 21 days. During a longer intermediate cleanse, its a good time to clean up your diet, eat plenty of green vegetables, drink good water, breath clean air, and exercise. An advanced detox program includes a five day liquid fast during which you are resting from work and exercise. In addition, a complete herbal cleansing program or kit should be followed for 21 days to thoroughly scrub and remove mucoid plaque off the intestinal walls, and detox all organs such as the liver, kidneys, lungs, and skin. Colonics are always a good idea during any level of cleansing. Read a good book on juice fasting and cleansing. Some good ones include Internal Cleansing by Linda Berry, D.C. and Juice Fasting and Detoxification by Steve Meyerowitz. In conclusion, we all need to detoxify our bodies regularly to eliminate the toxins and congestion causing poor health, low energy, and disease. Its a time for the body to regain vitality and rejuvenate its cells. Fasting is also a time to reevaluate things in our lives, remove negative energy or abuse, eliminate addictions, and be more open to spiritual and emotional energy. The physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of detoxification are proven throughout our history and are invaluable for good health.
